I was born in NJ and grew up around NYC. I began piano lessons at age 7 and studied at NY's Mannes College of Music through high school. I went to college at Northwestern University in Chicago as a piano major, then graduated with a degree in music composition.

I moved back to NY in 1997 and began working as a musician. First as a pianist, now as a multi-instrumentalist. Often as a music director, now also as an arranger and orchestrator. Sometimes as a composer, always as a songwriter.
